Our Mission

Commemorative R.O.S.E. was founded July 20, 1998 by Carl Morgan in dedication to his mother Rosemary Morgan commemorating her love and devotion to her family and community.  Commemorative R.O.S.E., provides youth development for grades 1st through 9th.  We focus on building students basic fundamental skills in subjects such as Math, English, Reading, and Writing.  Our intent is to enhance the youth’s self-esteem, self-discipline, confidence, leadership, decision-making skills, and sense of responsibility to ones’ peers as well as the community.  In addition, we will place special emphasis on college preparation and establishing career goals.

Our mission is to provide financial, educational and career guidance for at-risk and disadvantaged individuals, with the desire of Reaching Optimum Self-Efficiency. R.O.S.E. strives to not only improve the character of its youth (and their families) but also to develop better adaptation skills, healthier responses to authority figures, increased self-respect and leadership skills. Through our involvement R.O.S.E. resolves to restore unity and build pride in the community.

The Morgan family could think of no better way to magnify Rosemary’s special gifts and characteristics than to form this organization - befitting of a ROSE.

About Our Organization

Our organization has been tremendously involved in the community by organizing neighborhood cleanups, painting houses and visiting senior citizens (which gives the students a sense of community responsibility).  We have also sponsored educational, culturally enriching and recreational outings such as: APEX museum, Sci-Trek, King Center, Yellow River Ranch, Outdoor Camping, Aquarium, Hawks Game, Ice Skating, Roller Skating, Movies and 6 Flags.  Our youth have assisted other non-profit organizations such as Brightside Youth and Family Intervention with their annual carnivals and talent shows.  In addition, our youth have hosted fundraising events (raffle ticket sales, Easter Portrait Sales).
